IGIV Use in Neurologic Diseases is the second issue in a 4-part newsletter series, IGIV: Achieving Improved Patient Outcomes. Its goal is to familiarize physicians, nurses, and pharmacists with the latest developments in the field of immune globulin intravenous (IGIV) therapy, its relevance to patient care, and the clinical implications of pharmacologic differences among various treatment choices. This issue highlights the rationale for and current approach to using IGIV to treat GBS, CIDP, MMN, and MG. A case report illustrates clinical challenges in treating MG.
