Senior Medical Editor
Continuing Education Alliance, a dynamic, unique, and growing medical education company based in Stamford, CT, is searching for a seasoned medical editor with prior CME experience to develop content for medical education programs in various media and therapeutic areas, including primary care, oncology, and neurology. A Master’s degree or higher in biologic sciences or healthcare field is preferred. Candidates should have strong writing and slide development skills as well as the ability to manage projects through the editorial/production process.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop content, including hands-on creation of scientific outlines, drafts, and other material for educational symposia, monographs, interactive programs
- Write CME-compliant needs assessments
- Create slide presentations in cooperation with medical experts
- Edit manuscripts, slides, maintaining accuracy
and clarity
- Incorporate author/reviewer revisions
- Oversee freelance writers to ensure accuracy and educational messaging of projects through all stages of content development
- Provide strategic oversight and assure editorial quality of projects
- Interface with faculty, program management, and art departments regarding content and design
- Travel to onsite programs as needed
Requirements:
- 5+ years as an editor in continuing medical education
- Master’s degree in science or higher preferred
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work comfortably in multiple medical disciplines
- Project management skills
