Managing Editor -- Medical Continuing Education Alliance, a dynamic and unique medical education company based in Stamford, CT, is searching for a mid-level managing editor with prior medical publishing/medical communications experience to manage creation of continuing education initiatives for healthcare professionals in various media – live, interactive, and print.  This is a diversified position that requires a take-charge, organized, enthusiastic person who can handle multiple assignments and deadlines. Candidates should have experience working with medical faculty as well as assisting in the research and content development for preparation of manuscripts, slides, needs assessments, and online programs in multiple disease states.   Roles and Responsibilities: Assist in development of medical education content for live symposia, Web courses, monographs, and interactive programs in collaboration with staff editors, freelance writers, and faculty Identify, recruit, and coordinate scheduling of faculty for year-long series of national educational symposia  Edit manuscripts, slides, maintaining accuracy and clarity Incorporate author/reviewer revisions Write ancillary content for meeting materials, scripts, press releases, promotional emails Develop surveys and analysis reports Interface with faculty, program management, and art departments regarding content and design Provide oversight of programs to assure editorial quality and consistency Travel to live events for onsite program management   Requirements: 1-3+ years as an editor in medical education, medical communications, or medical publishing Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment Proficient in PowerPoint Solid understanding of production process Experience in CME a plus Salary and Benefits: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
